Maxiworks

solution within its desktop and server software range. From the standard
user name password or Pin code to complete Smartcard and Biometrics backed
up with comprehensive user provisioning with network access and data
rights management. Comes with integrated Administrator controlled Auditing
for web, email and network activities.
As IT
applications have become the backbone in business enterprises, restrictions on sharing
sensitive information has resulted in multiple access accounts for a
single user. This naturally forces the users to remember multiple
passwords, which bring in a host of issues such as forgetting one or
keeping simple passwords that are easy-to-hack and so on. Maxiworks' I&AM
solution helps
eliminate these issues, thereby enriching end-user experience and ensuring
information data security is maintained.
There are two
parts to the I&AM -
Identity
Management which refers to the process of establishing, verifying and
managing user identities and credentials to give access to various
applications and
Access Management which refers to
defining and enforcing the user access policies for the applications -
local and networked and
data. This also covers
auditing the operations performed by the users.
To simply understand I&AM each user's life cycle has three distinct phases – Provisioning, Maintenance
and Termination.
Provisioning:
In the Provisioning phase, foundations are built: Users, both internal and
external, are registered and have their relationship defined to the
company according to their role, position, title, corporate policies, etc.
Maintenance:
In the Maintenance phase, system administrators maintain the two core
elements – identity credentials (passwords, user information, etc.) and
access rights (what systems, accounts, and information the user has access
to, and at what level).
Terminate:
Terminate is the phase which causes organizations the most difficulty,
particularly from a security perspective. Typically, the average user must
be deleted from many different repositories or directories. Removing
a user is normally a manual, tedious process, and is can be prone to
error, resulting in possible or potential security risks and exposure.
